Stitcher's Sampler Giveaway

Hi friends! I am still very busy around here. I had my third and last round of 31 Botox shots on Wednesday. These have not cured anything for me. I am not sure how much they have helped me. I DO KNOW the best thing for me is to STAY 100% OUT OF THE SUN AND HEAT AT ALL TIMES. EVEN IN THE WINTER, NO SUN. My headaches just soar.

I gave Henry his haircut yesterday.

My dear Uncle Ken died on Sunday. We are attending the funeral today, Friday.

I will have a Hands On Design finish to share with you next time. I wanted to show you something cross stitch related today, so how about this chart? It is from an old magazine, and I am offering these two pages as a giveaway to any one of my followers anywhere.
I will be folding these pages to fit into a business size envelope. Just leave a comment on this post if you would like to receive this chart. I will draw the name of a winner on Friday, September 8th.

I would also like to remind you all of the other giveaway I have going on right now that ends on Monday. Check that out RIGHT HERE
So, how many of you have read The Tenant of Wildfell Hall? Did you like it? I did. I listened to it  and I enjoyed it.
The Tenant of Wildfell Hall is a powerful and sometimes violent novel of expectation, love, oppression, sin, religion and betrayal. It portrays the disintegration of the marriage of Helen Huntingdon, the mysterious tenant of the title, and her dissolute, alcoholic husband. Defying convention, Helen leaves her husband to protect their young son from his father's influence, and earns her own living as an artist. Whilst in hiding at Wildfell Hall, she encounters Gilbert Markham, who falls in love with her. On its first publication in 1848, Anne Brontë's second novel was criticised for being 'coarse' and 'brutal'. The Tenant of Wildfell Hall challenges the social conventions of the early nineteenth century in a strong defence of women's rights in the face of psychological abuse from their husbands. Anne Brontë's style is bold, naturalistic and passionate, and this novel, which her sister Charlotte considered 'an entire mistake', has earned her a position in English Literature in her own right.
That is it for today my friends. Short and sweet. I hope you have a good weekend. Thank you for your kind words. I am so glad you stopped by.

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Oh dear Vicky,
It is not always easy to go out of the sun, but if you show that it does not do you good, then you can at least minimize it. I´m sorry for your pain.
I like the pattern from the sampler well, I like to bounce into your pot.
Hugs, Martina

Sorry you lost an uncle Vickie. Hoping the Botox will eventually kick in. Weird about the sun even in winter. Please do not include me but it is a nice design.

How disappointing about the Botox. Maybe third time is the charm as they say. At least you know the sun is a trigger, even though that's not a very pleasant thing.

So sorry about your uncle.

Nice pattern, but I'll never get to stitching it. So please pick a name who would do it justice!

The Tenant of Wildfell Hall is my favorite Bronte novel. When I was in high school my math teacher lived in Lawrence KS and taught at my school in Overland Park KS. He would go to the library at KU and check out Bronte books that were unavailable to me at our local library. What a nice guy! (especially since math was my worst subject) I read everything they had published that was available to be checked out.

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your uncle.

Oh Vickie....

I am just sending up bunches of prayers for you today! I am just so sorry about your headaches...I admire you so much for living through them and accomplishing so very much! I am also praying for you and your family as you attend the funeral for your Uncle Ken! Sending hugs your way, with lots of love!

I love the chart that you are offering as well! Please enter me in the drawing 😊

I have never read Anne Bronte's book so this sounds interesting. Jane Eyre has always been my favorite! Have you ever read Syrie James? She wrote a book on Charlotte Bronte as well as a few about Jane Austen. My favorite was The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen 😊

I'll be thinking of you today and I hope your weekend is good! Sending more hugs and love!

Vickie I was so hoping that the Botox injections would help greatly. Stay out of that sun if it helps. I know it is hard but it is better than the terrible headaches you get.

My thoughts and prayers for your dear Uncle Ken. RJ

Sorry for your loss, and sorry that the Botox hasn't worked so far. Keeping out of the sun does seem to be the only solution at the moment.

So generous of you to offer the sampler. However my brain has been hungrier than my fingers can keep up so I will reluctantly not enter your give-away. So sorry to hear about those darn headaches and the passing our your uncle. Take care. You are always in my prayers.

So sorry to hear of your uncle's passing. And the botox. Sigh. It sounds like these headaches are just a part of your life now. I pray that will change and that this last does will be a cure. Praying hard! Hugs. (Keep going with the Brontes. Love them!)

Blessings Vickie: So sorry about your Uncle Ken, I am sure he is in the arms of our Lord.
Does Henry like to get haircuts? Krissy needs her nails done and hates it.
I have you in my daily prayers and hope the Botox helps soon.
I do not need to be included in the drawing I am trying to get rid of patterns and books its just so hard to let go sometimes.

Many Blessings
Catherine

I'm so sorry the Botox hasn't helped like you hoped it would. Does a hat and sunglasses help or is it the heat from the sun? Also sorry about your Uncle.
